1 Use of the Norfolklinetravel.com website

Your access to and use of this Norfolkline Shipping BV (“Nofolkline”) website, under the domain name www.norfolklinetravel.com (the “Website”), is subject to these Legal Terms and Conditions. By accessing and browsing the Website or downloading data, material, text, images, video or audio etc from the Website, you accept without limitation or qualification these Legal Terms and Conditions. You are bound by such revisions and should therefore periodically visit this page to review the current Legal Terms and Conditions.

The Website operates to an agency model for the sale of packaged travel and hotel accommodation bookings. This means that the products or services advertised under the Website are not all directly supplied by Norfolkline. Therefore, the contract for the product and/or service will be between you and the third party supplier of that element of the packaged bookings. Norfolkline via the Website operates as a website agent for The Travel Gateway Ltd. The Travel Gateway Ltd is itself a disclosed agent for third party suppliers. These include: Norfolkline for ferry crossing bookings; Active Hotels, Disneyland Resort Paris and Pierre et Vacances for the supply of hotel bookings; and Pierre et Vacances in respect of ski hire and the purchase of ski passes. What this means is that the contract for the travel and accommodation element of your booking will be between you and that supplier directly. This will mean that there are additional terms and conditions governing the contract as each supplier will have terms and conditions relating to that particular product. Please make sure you have read these terms and conditions before completing your transaction. Acting as agent in this manner will mean that Norfolkline will have no contractual liability to you in respect of bookings made via the Website. However, Norfolkline may still be liable to you if we have been negligent; we have misrepresented important information or have been in breach of any other relevant law. However, no agreement for the supply of products or services can arise by use of the Website only.

2 Products

All products sold through the Website are done so via Norfolkline's agent The Travel Gateway using their secure booking engine (the “Booking Engine”). Once you complete the first section of the booking form you will be taken to the Booking Engine to continue and complete your booking. Whilst the subsequent pages of the booking process are still branded as “Norfolklinetravel.com” it will be The Travel Gateway which completes the booking process and it will be The Travel Gateway Ltd that takes both personal and payment details from you. Norfolkline do not handle payment for bookings made via the Website. Therefore, products sold through the Website are not sold by Norfolkline but merely publicised via the Website, which acts then to refer you on to the Booking Engine.

This means the contract for the product is between you and the supplier, which in turn means that any queries or concerns relating to the product should be addressed to them. You will see the name and address, plus contact details, for most suppliers within their own set of terms and conditions.

3 Copyright

Unless otherwise specifically stated herein, Norfolkline shall retain any and all title, rights and interests it may have in its trademarks, copyrights, other intellectual property rights and other rights in respect of or connected to the Website.

Norfolkline or as may be the case its agent The Travel Gateway Ltd shall own all intellectual property rights in the Website as a whole including all rights in and to trade secrets, patents, copyrights, trademarks, and know-how, as well as moral rights and similar rights of any type under the laws of any governmental authority, domestic or foreign.

Norfolkline shall also own any data it creates as a result of operating the Website.

Everything you see or read or that is contained in the Website is protected by copyrights and, except as strictly provided and permitted in these Terms & Conditions and or on the Website may not be used without the prior written permission of Norfolkline or the Travel Gateway Ltd.
